ENT Surgical Expertise at Orchid
Septoplasty
Surgical correction of a deviated nasal septum straightening the partition between the two nasal passages to restore normal airflow, relieve chronic nasal blockage, and improve breathing permanently.
Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS)
Minimally invasive keyhole surgery using an endoscope to open blocked sinus passages, remove polyps, and restore natural sinus drainage is the most effective surgical treatment for chronic sinusitis and nasal polyps.
Tonsillectomy
Surgical removal of chronically infected or enlarged tonsils is recommended for patients with recurrent tonsillitis, obstructive sleep apnoea related to tonsil size, or complications of tonsil infection.
Adenoidectomy
Removal of enlarged adenoids, particularly in children experiencing chronic nasal obstruction, recurrent ear infections, or sleep-disordered breathing due to adenoid hypertrophy.
Grommet Insertion (Tympanostomy Tubes)
Small ventilation tubes inserted into the eardrum to drain fluid from the middle ear and equalise pressure are the most common surgical treatment for glue ear and recurrent otitis media in children.
Myringoplasty & Tympanoplasty
Surgical repair of a perforated eardrum — restoring the integrity of the eardrum to improve hearing and protect the middle ear from repeated infections.
Mastoidectomy
Surgical removal of infected mastoid bone behind the ear is performed for cholesteatoma, chronic suppurative otitis media, and mastoiditis when medical treatment is insufficient.
Microlaryngoscopy
Examination and surgical treatment of the vocal cords under general anaesthesia using an operating microscope — for vocal cord polyps, nodules, cysts, and early laryngeal lesions.

Hearing Loss or Muffled Hearing
Gradual or sudden reduction in hearing — especially in one ear — should always be evaluated by an ENT specialist. Early intervention can prevent permanent hearing damage.
Persistent Ringing in the Ears (Tinnitus)
A constant or intermittent ringing, buzzing, or hissing sound in the ear that doesn’t go away warrants investigation, it can signal inner ear damage, noise exposure, or an underlying condition
Recurring Dizziness or Vertigo
Sudden spinning sensations, loss of balance, or recurrent dizziness, particularly if triggered by head movement, often point to an inner ear disorder that can be effectively treated.
Chronic Nasal Blockage or Congestion
A blocked nose that has persisted for weeks or months — despite medication — may indicate a deviated septum, nasal polyps, or chronic sinusitis requiring specialist assessment.
Voice Change Lasting More Than 2 Weeks
Persistent hoarseness, voice changes, or loss of voice beyond two weeks, particularly in smokers or older adults — must be evaluated by an ENT to rule out vocal cord lesions or early laryngeal cancer.
